CREDIT/DEBIT CARD BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS
1 Accepting the Terms
1.1 In order to use the Services, you must firstly agree to the Terms. You may not use the Services if you do not accept the Terms.
1.2 You can accept the Terms by:
1.2.1 Clicking to accept or agree to the Terms, where this option is made available to you by Heathrow Taxis in the booking portal for any Service; or
1.2.2 By actually using the Services. In this case, you understand and agree that Heathrow Taxis will treat your use of the Services as acceptance of the Terms from that point onwards.
2 The Service(s)
2.1 Confirmed bookings are a pre-paid permit to travel to the destination specified in the booking only and by Licensed and insured London Taxis only. Any deviation from the booked destination must be agreed with the driver before the start of the journey and any additional fare must be paid to the driver directly.
3 Exclusions
3.1 Heathrow Taxis shall have no liability to the passenger in connection with the time the passenger reaches or fails to reach the destination.
3.2 Heathrow Taxis shall have no liability for any damage, loss (including loss of profit), costs or expenses (whether foreseeable or not) incurred or suffered by the Customer arising out of a breach by the Company of these terms and conditions including on the part of the driver.
3.3 In the event of any claim against Heathrow Taxis, the Company's liability shall be limited to a refund not exceeding the cost of the journey
4 Payment
4.1 Payment is taken in advance by credit/debit card unless otherwise agreed in writing.
5 Third Parties
5.1 Heathrow Taxis reserves the right to enlist the services of a third party to provide the service on our behalf whenever necessary, all third parties will be thoroughly vetted to ensure consistency of service. Heathrow Taxis shall retain overall responsibility for the delivery of the service.
6 Journey Times, Quotations and Tariffs
6.1 All bookings are subject to driver availability and therefore arrival times cannot be guaranteed. Heathrow Taxis shall have no liability if a pick-up or journey time exceeds any estimate given or if we cancel a booking - provided we have used reasonable endeavours to fulfil the booking. Any estimate given is supplied and accepted on the basis that it is an estimate only.
6.2 All prices quoted are in GBP (£) and are inclusive of all charges and VAT (where applicable) at the prevailing rate unless otherwise stated. Quotes are valid at the time of booking and will remain so unless the journey is amended or cancelled, in which case the original quote becomes invalid.
6.3 By accepting the price quoted for a particular journey the passenger accepts that it may not always be the most economical way to travel, especially on short journeys.
6.4 All prices quoted on our website or at our taxi information desks in the arrivals halls at Heathrow Airport are valid as of September 2011. We reserve the right to amend prices at any time and without prior notice but will honour all prices for jobs booked prior to any amendment.
6.5 Journeys to Heathrow Airport include 30 minutes waiting time, if this time is exceeded an additional waiting time charge will be levied.
6.6 All bookings are subject to a 9.58% administration fee and a £3.00 booking fee. VAT is charged on both of these amounts.
7 Waiting Time
7.1 Journeys from Heathrow Airport:
7.1.1 No maximum waiting time is applicable, so if a flight is delayed your booking will still be valid and no additional charges will be levied. However bookings are only valid for 48 hours from the booked time of the journey, after which time if we have not received notification of cancellation in writing from the customer they will be cancelled.
7.2 Journeys to Heathrow Airport:
7.2.1 A maximum of 30 minutes waiting time is included in the cost of the booking. In the event you do not meet your vehicle within 30 minutes of the booked time and no contact has been made with either the driver or the Company, the driver will leave the pickup and no refund will be issued.
8 Cancellation Policy
8.1 All cancellations must be sent via email to JLIB_HTML_CLOAKING (telephone cancellations are not accepted). Your cancellation notification time will be deemed to be the time your email is received by us. Heathrow Taxis accepts no liability for email cancellations delayed or not received by us.
8.2 In the event you do not meet your vehicle within 30 minutes of the booked time and no contact has been made with either the driver or the Company, the booking will be cancelled, the driver will leave the pickup and no refund will be issued.
8.3 Journeys booked from Heathrow Airport but not taken by the passenger will be cancelled 48 hours after the booked time if notification of cancellation has not been received by us via email. No refund will be issued for these bookings.
9 Refund Policy
9.1 If a booking is cancelled by us because we have been unable to fulfil the service, a full refund will be issued within 10 working days.
9.2 Journeys from Heathrow Airport:
9.2.1 Cancellations received in writing (or performed by the registered customer via the web portal) up to 48 hours after the booked time of the relevant booking will be refunded within 10 working days. A charge of £3.00 plus VAT will be levied to cover administration and refund costs.
9.2.2 No refunds will be issued for bookings cancelled after 48 hours of the booked time.
9.3 Journeys to Heathrow Airport:
9.3.1 No refund will be issued for bookings where you do not meet your vehicle within 30 minutes of the booked time and no contact has been made with either the driver or the Company.
9.4 Refunds for cancelled journeys received in writing (or performed by the registered customer via the web portal) prior to a driver being assigned will incur a charge of £3.00 plus VAT to cover administration and refund costs. If a driver has been assigned to the booking no refund will be issued.
9.5 No refunds will be issued for changes to the pick up or destination unless notified in advance and in writing.
9.6 Heathrow Taxis will refund the difference between the metered fare and the fare charged by us if the metered fare is lower (excluding administration fees, booking fees and VAT) within 10 working days following a request in writing from the customer. Refunds will only be issued upon receipt of the booking reference and a fully completed receipt from the driver including date, time, badge number, metered fare and extras.
9.7 No refunds from drivers. Refund entitlements only from issuing office.
10 Governing Law
10.1 These terms and conditions are governed by and are subject to the laws of England and Wales and the Company and the Customer submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
