Heathrow Taxis is the only approved taxi transport provider for Heathrow Airport and Heathrow Airport Limited recommend you only use our official taxi information desks situated in the arrivals hall of each terminal or the official taxi ranks outside each terminal. Our world famous London Taxis offer you a spacious, convenient and accessible form of transport to any destination you choose. They are available 24 hours a day every day of the year and provide a complete door to door service for up to 5/6 passengers (depending on vehicle type). 

Under the watchful eye of Transport for London every one of our drivers is licensed, trained and approved by the Public Carriage Office to ensure passengers receive a safe and reliable service. All taxis are fitted with a wheelchair ramp and an extensive range of access features, including easy grip, hi-contrast handles for people with visual impairment, a hearing loop and a swivel seat. Service dogs may travel in taxis at no extra charge and all drivers (providing they do not have a medical condition, which prevents them) will provide assistance with luggage and entry into the taxi.

The approximate journey time into Central London is around 45 minutes and on average, if three or more people choose to travel by taxi, the price is usually cheaper than going by bus or train. Taxis are the only other type of passenger transport which can make use of the bus lanes and they don’t stop to pick up other passengers which means they can be quicker too!

Beware of illegal taxi touts operating inside and outside the terminal buildings, an official licensed taxi will never approach you asking if you require transport.
